Ultrasound and Diagnostics

M.E.D. Surgical launched their Ultrasound and Diagnostics division in 2016 following their partnership with BK Ultrasound. This Division was originally set up as a result of the expansion of the Urology Gynaecology Division and the need to specialise and focus on this growing sector.

BK Ultrasound are renowned for their Image quality, with the Flex Focus used in most Urology centres for prostate biopsies. Over the last 15 years their image quality for needle position has been leading the market. Their 3D Anorectal probe is used for the advanced screening of pelvic floor anatomy and staging surgery. With the newly developed state of the art BK 5000 Hi resolution Ultrasound system, there are much more complex surgical procedures that can utilise it, including laparoscopic, drop in probe for Liver, Colorectal and Urology use. They also have a wide range of probes for use in emergency medicine to regional anaesthesia also.

The Division which is mostly equipment based solutions but also looks after Laborie and specialise in Medical Measurement systems in Pelvic floor Urodynamics as well as Upper and lower High Resolution GI Manometry, Ph. Recording and breath test analysis. To complement this we have a full range of catheters for these disciplines and examinations. We also represent Caresono Bladder Scanners.
